CT707 Krav Maga
Students will learn to protect themselves against a stronger, more skilled and even armed opponent. Simple to learn, remember and execute – the skills and objectives that are taught provide the most effective response to overcoming a threatening situation as quickly as possible. A person’s fight/flight response, increased adrenaline and increased heart rate won’t allow for a highly complicated and technical response.
Krav Maga is based on instincitve responses which allow tactics to be learned and applied in minimal time and to overcome an attack as quickly as possible. Regardless of your strength or size, this class will help you feel confident in the ability to defend yourself and those you love…and get in FANTASTIC shape while doing it!
You will refine your technique through dynamic and functional fitness drills, repetition and punch-kick combinations on heavy bags, focus mitts and thai pads. Increase your strength, coordination and performance in self defense as well as many other athletic skills.
This class is based on the exact same methodology that Nir Maman developed and taught at the Israeli Special Forces Counter Terror School. It’s a streamlined strategy based platform that will allow the student to effectively learn and deploy the techniques in a condensed time frame which was the primary criteria for all the Special Forces units Nir was responsible for training. Most of these units would deploy to hostile war zones around the world, such as Iraq, and Afghanistan, immediately after concluding their training in Israel and required a system they could learn and effectively deploy with minimal training time.
The Name: CT stands for Counter Terror. 707 is the Iraeli Special Forces Counter Terror unit designation number.
The CTU is the spearhead of all that relates to Counter Terror Warfare in the Israeli Special Forces, from trainin, to weaponry, to CT mandates and protocols. The CTU is a cutting edge Special Forces unit with two primary tasks: 1) Operating as the ISF’s Counter Terror School, responsible for training and certifying all ISF units tasked with any element related to Counter Terror Warfare. 2) An operational CT unit tasked with a variety of conventional and unconventional Counter Terror direct action and support missions.
